Information
is critical in the management of a modern farm,
and the investment in machinery is one of the
highest in the budget of most farms. One of the
best opportunities for farmers to get information
is at specialized trade shows. The Atlantic Farm
Mechanization Show is such an event, totally dedicated
to serving the Agricultural Industry in the Atlantic
Region.
Times
are changing in Agriculture as in all other areas.
The farm managers of today need information faster
than they ever have. Decisions are made that have
a crucial effect on the viability of their operation.
Information now comes from a wide diversity of
sources.

Communication
technology is playing an increasing role in the
operation of the modern farm. Many farmers are
now exploring or using GPS (Global Positioning
Systems). This exciting technology has the potential
to monitor field conditions and make machinery
adjustments instantaneously and on the go!
The
loyal support of the farmers of the Region keep
the show healthy and successful. To keep the show
worthy of such loyal support, the Directors closely
follow a few basic principles in the operation
and management of the show.

The show exists solely to serve the Agricultural Community of the region, and focuses strictly on that objective. The show is managed independently, and kept focused on exhibitors who relate directly to the business of farming. The show is held every two years so that the developments in the industry will be "new & innovative" and interesting to the people who visit the show. |
